Here we are, mid-week, and MSNBC and CNN are parroting my column from last week. Trump is a
die-hard fan of Adolph Hitler, wants to be
like him, do like him. Good God!
But let’s move on.
I don’t have a lot of faith in the rank n’ file of MAGA White women to defy the orders of their men and disobey.
Matter of fact, I expect the majority to stand
by their, for lack of a more fitting term,
“masters” and vote for Donald Trump. I don’t
believe, as a subgroup, they will do anything
to endanger their privileged place in US
society.
This means people of color are going to have to step up
and vote in unprecedented numbers. But, as
significant as showing up to vote is, we must
do all we can to ensure other Black folks we
know do not cast a single vote for Lord Trump.
Matter of fact, “family and
friends can’t let family and friends vote for
Trump.”
We have to do all we can; the
fate of the Black American empire is at stake.
The very fabric, feel and taste of this
country our children and grandchildren live in
is on the verge of going back in time.
Perhaps we Americans of color
can start now with support groups at work and
church, where we work to change the minds of
all the “sellouts,” all the Oreos, Apples,
Bananas, and Coconuts who are, despite the
abundance of information circulating that
outlines and highlights Trump’s infatuation
and preoccupation with Adolf Hitler, still
supporting the guy. The gazillion-dollar
question is, how can any Black man, Latino
man, Asian person, or Jewish person cast a
vote for a caveman as undeniably racist,
sexist, and soulless as Trump?
What makes people of color, caught up in the middle of an
escalating race war we didn’t start, turn on
their own kind? Black and Brown people didn’t
create this cultural battleground we live in.
This is no longer, and honestly has never
been, the United States of America, and it’s not our fault. All we’ve
all tried to do, as unquestionably wronged
people - is forgive and forget, move on,
assimilate and accommodate, and look where
it’s gotten us. We are born into a rigged
game. From “Jump Street,” the average American
of color’s chances of achieving the almost
mythical American Dream is “against all odds.”
Is it that Clarence Thomas type of self-hatred? Are they simply political
prostitutes?
Are they Hustlers like the late
Herman Cain, or just highly educated fools
like Dr. Ben Carson? Are they jive-ass con
men, like the buffoonish Negro ministers who
aid and abet Trump?
Whatever propels these
treasonous idiots, it is our
collective/individual responsibility, not
White liberals or ministers, but rather Black
folks, to halt these clowns before they help
open the doors to the gas chambers and
jumbo-airplane hangar-size ovens. I’m here to
tell you that some of these cats would put
their own momma on the corner of 120th Ave.
and Broadway in Any City USA if the price was
right.
Yes, we’ve got those born in the projects, who pulled
themselves up by their Converse All-Star shoelaces and believe they’re better than the rest of the
field slaves; they’ll not vote, or worse yet,
vote for a 3rd party candidate. Or the ones
who have advanced degrees, but they’re just
not into politics, or they vote Republican based on their E-Wallets and
portfolios and in essence, help hand the
victory to Trump.
Their misguided arrogance is rooted in their ignorance and
insecurities, the desire to be
disconnected/different/better than the rest of
the “little people.” They represent tens of
thousands of colored Americans – millions - who backed Trump because he
was a fatcat baller. You have to remind these small-minded kittens n’
cats, “all that glitters is not gold!”
These fools must be stopped.
The Thanksgiving holiday is as good a time as any to
address this issue at traditional family
gatherings, identify these Toms, and then bring the heat, turn on the pressure -
education, enlightenment, guilt, shame,
perhaps a backyard brawl, but we, as a people,
must straighten these you-know-what’s out. No
one else is going to do it for us; we have to
erase any support Trump has enjoyed in the
past.
Sororities, fraternities, the
Elks, Owls, Moses, Masons, Black professional
organizations - the podiatrists and
acupuncturists to bakers butchers, and
computer chipmakers - you name it - we must
find, identify and intimidate, if we can’t
educate these pawns, and sit their backward
nonthinking negro asses down.
MAGA America hates Americans of
color more now than we were hated half a
century ago. They’re talking “retribution…!”
synonyms: punishment, penalty, nemesis,
fate, doom, one's just deserts, due reward,
just reward, wages, justice, retributive
justice, poetic justice, judgment,
reckoning, revenge, reprisal, requital,
retaliation, payback, vengeance,
tit-for-tat, measure for measure, redress,
reparation, restitution, recompense,
repayment, damages, satisfaction, remedy,
comeback, atonement, amends, one”s
comeuppance….
And yet, and yet… millions of “colored” Americans will
vote “with”
those
who seemingly despise us. Trump wants to
represent and embody “retribution.” MAGA
America desperately wants to violently drag
America kickin’ n’ screamin’ back to the good
ol’ days of apartheid and we can’t sit quietly
by, watching the game and letting it happen on our watch!
Far too many Americans of color
have developed a serious case of Stockholm
Syndrome. We identify with our oppressors and
think we are “different” and better than our
peers in the eyes of mainstream White America,
but no fool, they don’t want you as their
in-laws or their boss, either!
