Let
me
tell you how it really
is;
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is a racist,
and he is playing to his racist base. That’s
my educated guess, my street sense, and my
gut feeling. Both my spider and bat senses
scream it.
Perhaps,
for
purely political reasons, the Miami-Dade
Black Advisory Board
felt compelled to apologize for one of their
members branding the Florida Governor a
“racist.”
Well
yeah,
sure, I guess, but, and this is a big Bertha
Butt, my little Nana always said, listen here
sugar foot, “If it walks like a Klansman,
talks like a Klansman, smells, feels and
its words taste like that of a Klansman,
then hell child, it’s a damn Klansman.”
But hang on, as I understand it,
DeSantis is merely playing to his political
“base.” Accordingly, the only logical
conclusion is - his “base,” his “people” are
too a Klansman-minded group of individuals
who all share extremely similar racist,
sexist, elitist, and xenophobic opinions and
values.
So yes, a significant percentage, a
weighty portion of the American population
that supports him, is too racist, sexist,
elitist, and xenophobic.
Those
“isms”
are
as
All-American as Hot Dogs, Coke, and
Corvettes. Apple Pie, Guns, and race riots.
Cocaine, Jazz, and convertible Mustangs.
There’s
no
denying it: millions upon millions of
European Americans arrogantly or ignorantly
regard themselves as the only true,
legitimate, authentic
real Americans
and are supporting Ron DeSantis because he,
and they, share the same prejudiced,
intolerant, bigoted, insular, isolationist,
ethnocentric and nationalist viewpoints.
These
like-minded
folks are rallying around legislation that
would prohibit
individuals
from making people “feel discomfort,
guilt, anguish, or any other form of
psychological distress on account of his
or her race, color, sex, or national
origin.”
Ain’t that a’ bitch?!
Recall when DeSantis warned
Floridians not to “monkey this up” by
electing Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum,
the Democratic nominee, who is
African-American.
“The
last
thing we need to do is monkey this up by
trying to embrace a socialist agenda with
huge tax increases and bankrupting the
state,” said DeSantis. The quote
followed earlier statements that Gillum was
“an
articulate
spokesman”
for leftist views.
When
originally
seeking the Governor’s office, DeSantis
showed up and spoke at rallies organized by
a Neo-Confederate who has said that African
Americans owe their freedom to white people
and that the country’s ‘only serious race
war’ is against whites. And who donated more
than $20,000 to Ron DeSantis and lined up a
speech for him at lord Trump’s Mar-a-Lago
club, calling former President Barack Obama
a “F---- MUSLIM N----” on Twitter.
DeSantis
announced
the
Stop the Wrongs to Our Kids and Employees
(W.O.K.E.) Act
which gives businesses, employees, children,
and families tools to fight back against
woke indoctrination. It is designed to be
the strongest legislation in the nation and
will take on both corporate
wokeness
and Critical Race
Theory.
The act piles on the crude and illicit
actions Governor DeSantis has already taken
to ban Critical Race Theory and the New
York Times’
1619
Project
in Florida’s
schools. Critical
Race
Theory
is defined as “an academic area of study
that looks at how racism is embedded in
seemingly color-blind laws and
institutions.”
DeSantis,
via
his legislation, prohibits individuals from
making people “feel discomfort, guilt,
anguish, or any other form of psychological
distress on account of his or her race,
color, sex, or national origin.”
Ain’t
that
an insulting, belittling, arrogant pompous
you know what? If
we
tell the truth, we shame the devil.
If
kids
are not taught about institutional
racism
and the white supremacy it upholds, they
won’t question it later when they are
voters.
Can’t
this
combative and combustible argument Manifest
Destiny
vs. Critical
Race
Theory honestly
can be best described as BS vs. The
butt-naked stone-cold truth which the whole
wide world agrees upon?
Among
the
many pieces of this empire’s decadent story,
White folks don’t want to be told about are
the ghost dances of the
late-nineteenth-century American Indian
spiritual movement. The ghost dance began in
Nevada in 1889 when a Paiute named Wovoka
prophesied the extinction of white people
and the return of the old-time life and
superiority of the Indians.
As
their
numbers were being whittled down into a form
of slow genocide,
America’s indigenous folks hoped for the Big
Payback and return to the happy days of
pre-colonialism, and this righteous yearning
scared the White folks of the day to death,
they banned the dances and ….
It’s no different from what they’re
doing today.
Slaves
were
never to be taught to read; it was a crime
to educate Blacks. Understand, as men like
DeSantis and his millions-strong base
understand, it’s far easier to pimp, exploit
and oppress people who are uneducated,
particularly about who they are, how they
got where they are, and yes, who did this to
them, and how this type of lop-sided society
was crafted and maintained. They, like the
“help,” to remain uneducated and thus
enlightened.
Is Florida the heartless heart n’
soulless soul of the new, ever-spreading
21st Confederacy? Yes, it appears so.
DeSantis, like Trump, is simply
saying what the GOP Base believes. The
collective goal of this new Confederacy is
to take back “their” America and return it
to yesteryear when Blacks, Brown folks,
immigrants, and women, in general, all knew
and accepted their assigned inferior,
secondary place in the White man’s country.
Where do you think DeSantis stands
on a woman’s right to control her own body?
Something
wicked
this way comes…
it’s Ron DeSantis and his millions upon
millions of followers!
