Monday evening,
November 7th, “Countdown to Doomsday.” Perhaps the last “full
day” in the life of America as we’ve come to
know it. I’m left to ponder what I consider
the obvious: What if the Confederates had
won the Civil War? What if the Nazis had
prevailed on D-Day?
Because
we
almost found out what happens when White
supremacists are inserted into every
governmental position, from dogcatcher to
governor.
Democracy
is on the ballot and honestly, truthfully
most publicly educated Americans can’t even
define
democracy:
i.e., representative
government,
elective government, constitutional
government, popular government,
self-government, government by the people.
Tragically,
I
ain’t lying. Don’t ask them to define capitalism. Don’t ask them about
the capital city of New York or California.
Just ask them the score of the game or who’s
sleeping with who on what reality show. What
they checked out on TikTok.

Forgive
me,
but hell yeah, I’m disgusted with the
complete lack of intellectual curiosity
present among us, the unwashed masses.
Forgive us, o’ God, for we know not what the
hell we do!
However,
I
do think there’s something in the air, a
distinct feeling of “walking around on pins
n’ needles,” an “uncomfortableness” which
can be felt, smelled, and tasted in the thin
rocky Mountain air. Call it an “uneasiness”
about the eventual “Judgement Day” for the
fragile American democratic experiment. A
day when we all assume rank n’ file White
America, from the good ol’ boys to the Ivy
League elites and prep school aristocrats,
will align with the rural and suburban White
housewives. Trailer park queens, soccer
moms, and gated community princesses -
together they will rise to the dark
occasion, to the darkening of “their”
America, and vote Republican.
There
seems
to be across Red America a zest and zeal among the admitted
zealots, a mean-spirited, vindictive, and
perhaps hate-filled desire to maintain white minority rule of America by any
diabolical means Donald Trump and his
minions, his followers, his cult members
deem necessary. Call it a form of
punishment.
And
if
they don’t win, it’s because the contest was
rigged, and of course, they really won.
How
full
of BS that? How scary is that?
I’d
argue
Trump’s troops have no measurable
conscience. No empathy for the millions of
people they, at best, struggle to see as
equals, whom they’ve branded as uncivilized.
I can’t rule out what atrocities are
possible and which ones are inconceivable.
Political
commentators
on Mainstream media are talking of the
similarities to 3rd Reich. The term “civil
war” is being tossed about endlessly by both
sides.
As a news geek, I ran across this
prediction in The
Guardian of what’s
to come for America as White people “take
back their country” - “These
are conditions ripe for political
violence” “How close is the US to civil
war?”
“If a second civil war breaks out in
the US, it will be a guerrilla war fought
by multiple small militias spread around
the country. Their targets will be
civilians – mainly minority groups,
opposition leaders, and federal employees.
Judges will be assassinated, Democrats and
moderate Republicans will be jailed on
bogus charges, black churches and
synagogues bombed, pedestrians picked off
by snipers in city streets, and federal
agents threatened with death should they
enforce federal law. The goal will be to
reduce the strength of the federal
government and those who support it, while
also intimidating minority groups and
political opponents into submission.”
I
go to bed on the eve of the end
of
America
with that vision of a chaotic America on the
horizon and on my mind.
Good God. Prepared
to be let down by White women who’ll stand
by their male chauvinistic racist men and
betrayed by …… Black men will be too busy
watching the game to bother.
Tuesday
in
the early AM: I
catch Black Republican Micheal
Steele
explaining “why” Black and Latino men, who
see themselves as the kings of their
castles, may very well vote for Herschel,
Donald, and all the dummies. Meanwhile, CNN
is already highlighting the battlefield that
is Pennsylvania and Ohio. Florida wants to
let the DeSantis foxes guard the votes at
the hen’s house. You tell ’em.
I
wonder if Don
Lemon
realizes he’ll be either exiled, imprisoned,
or lynched if Trump’s Right
gets
what they want.
I’m
already
left with the thought: if we don’t beat the
tar out of them in virtually every race,
they will claim victory, and we will fold
under the Marquess
of Queensberry Rules that only we are abiding
by.
Black
America’s
fate and destiny lie in the hands of
disconnected White women and disinterested
Black men. Please tell me I’m wrong!

in
the PM….
Arizona, Maricopa County, and the
provocateurs and instigators are already
claiming there are wait time issues. Let the
BS begin.
Here
I
sit, listening to Joy Reid tell Rachel
Meadow how Black people will simply not show
up in Florida. It’s going to be pathetic, “anemic” was her exact word.
And my thought is how
either
disconnected from reality, dumb or apathetic
are these Black folks? This failure to
show-up only underscores my opinion of “we
are our own worst enemies” gravely
unenlightened, or should I say worldly or
sophisticated - we only show up for Obama… Politics are akin to three-tier Star
Trek Chess - you’ve got to be thinking.
Tuesday night,
countdown to doomsday for the USA:
Considering what’s at stake - merely the
fate of the free world. The vote counting
appears to be off to a normal start,
nonetheless I’m afraid to tune into FOX so that I can monitor
the ignoble opposition, I just don’t have
the stomach to yet. Uncle Tim Scott is being
rewarded for being a good boy, and Ohio is
going Confederate with JD Vance.
Wednesday
morning….
“Doomsday” hasn’t come... yet. No violence
at the polls. Senator Warnock lives to fight
that Uncle Tom sellout another day, and that
wicked, wicked witch in Arizona didn’t have
a house fall on her. Damn!
I’m
going
to take a breath. Women showed up, Americans
of color showed up, and the result -
Democracy is apparently saved, for the
moment,
for the moment.
Most of Trump’s minions have been defeated,
for the moment. The “Red Tidal Wave” never
rolled across the nation and drowned
democracy. The GOP’s efforts to change the
narrative, which was correctly focused on
racism and sexism, was replaced by Trumpian
propaganda which insisted crime and
inflation were the boogy men at the door. It
fell upon the deaf ears of the enlightened.
Hallelujah!
Now
let’s
get ready for 2024 because guess what: the
enemies of peace, brotherhood, and unity
will be back at it today. They will not go
quietly into the good night. The cold civil
war will continue to boil, but that’s ok.
