So here we are again to talk about money and here you are reading BC and we thank you for your readership.

We also thank you sincerely if you have shown your financial support by becoming a BC Paid Subscriber. If you are a regular reader of BC you know who we are and what it means when we say we will never compromise working for social and economic justice.

This column is always about money - filthy - dirty - money. Somebody has always got their hand out asking for a chunk of your change. Of course, there is another group of people who don't even ask for your money - they just reach into your paycheck and wallet and take it without giving you a clear idea of the purpose for which it is going to be used. We're talking about corporations that provide necessities we must purchase and the elected officials and government they control with their fat bank accounts.

If you are a regular reader, we expect you do not come here to be made to feel comfortable. Not comfortable the way our opponents feel when they visit their favorite Websites which support racism, sexism, ageism and classism.

The comfort we offer comes in the form of a weekly affirmation that those of us who believe in change are not alone. The energy we offer comes in the form of a validation of the necessity to remain angry, militant and impatient.

We speak truth to power while knowing the real power is in the hands of the people, not those who use their economic power to intimidate, seduce, bribe and trick the innocent, naive and helpless. The greedy do not need to be tricked - they eagerly wait with their hand out.

While we are foaming on like Deacon Caffeine here's a news flash:

King Dubya has come up with a military solution for the bird flu.

He is bombing the Canary Islands.

Turkey is next!

You, the BC reader, are not one of the ignorant, misled or evil who want us to be silenced. You are probably an optimistic person. To wake up each morning with the energy to work for what is right, you must believe change is possible. Revolutionaries are optimists.

We will only survive with your support. We will only survive if the percent of supporters of those who visit our Website on a regular basis increases.
