40 million Americans have no insurance; another 30 million have
no insurance at some point during the year. Many more have inadequate
insurance. Countless numbers die everyday simply because they
delay going to doctors and when they do are given inadequate
treatments. Countless more lives are shortened for the same reasons.
And do not forget those that have given up their life savings
and property.
Today the magnitude of this issue in terms of human suffering
and death are unmatched in our history. The only close parallel
was when we had the institution of slavery.
We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created
equal and that they are endowed by their creator with certain
inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the
pursuit of happiness. - Declaration of Independence -Thomas Jefferson
In today's society the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit
of happiness are intrinsically linked to universal health care.
Inalienable rights - The fact that the rest
of the industrial world and most of the other countries in
the world have universal health care coupled with the basic
tenants of all the major religions of the world promotes universal
healthcare as being an inalienable right of men and women.
Life - Our fellow Americans without universal
health care become sicker, have more prolonged illness, and
die at alarmingly higher rates than those that have adequate
health care available to them, more than 18,000 each year according
to the Institute of Medicine.
Liberty - Our fellow Americans without universal
health care are denied the simple liberty of pursuing their
dreams and choice of occupations in life because they are forced
to choose occupations simply on the basis of health incentives.
Without the guarantees of universal health care they live in
the constant fear of the guaranteed illness that will strike
them down eventually and wipe out any and all savings of their
lifetime.
Pursuit of happiness - Our fellow Americans
without universal health care are unjustly compromised in their
pursuit of happiness because of the inescapable knowledge that
without universal health care their end of life destiny and
legacy is to leave their loved ones with nothing but debt.
We hold this truth to be self evident that Americans without
guaranteed quality universal health care are not afforded equal
opportunities to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
The Declaration of Independence is the cornerstone of the Constitution
of the United States.
Without universal health care in today's society we are violating
the fundamental sacred tenants of our Declaration of Independence,
the cornerstone of our Constitution.
If society falls short in upholding the basic tenets of our
Declaration of Independence the Constitution must be amended
so that the laws of the land always reflect the basic principals
established in the Declaration of Independence:
The Constitutional Amendments number 13
Neither Slavery nor involuntary servitude shall exist in the
United States.
Slavery and involuntary servitude were instantly abolished
throughout the United States of America at the exact instant
the majority of Judges of the Supreme Court of the United States
of America voted in favor of this Amendment.
Becoming ill is an involuntary act of men and women. Millions
of Americans without universal health care at this moment are
pledged to work, often for the remainder of their lives paying
off their medical bills. In essence they are under involuntary
servitude to the medical establishment.
We are presently in violation of this amendment.
The Constitutional Amendment number 9 Bill of Rights:
The enumeration in the constitution of certain rights, shall
not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the
people
Health care is an inalienable right of modern man. If you have
to pay for it as an individual it is no longer a right.
We are
not only in violation of the basic tenets of the Declaration
of Independence but we find ourselves in violation of Constitutional
Amendments, included specifically in the Bill of Rights of
the Constitution, Constitutional Amendments number 9 and number
13.
These amendments were added because of the previous violations
of the Declaration of Independence and give proof to the argument
that universal health care for all is an inalienable right of
citizens in the U.S..
We have developed an industry, in our country that takes people’s
property, their futures, their dignity, their dreams and even
their lives in unprecedented numbers. We call this industry our
health care system.
We hold these truths to be self evident that the continuing
violation of our Declaration of Independence and the Constitution
of the United States and its Amendments is prolonging the suffering
of and the premature deaths of untold millions of Americans.
UNITED STATES NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE ACT (HR 676)
This bill was developed by the best minds in medicine and economics
around the world.
Universal Health Care for all Americans is now in Congress.
Every citizen, and every organization needs to make their candidates
accountable for voting this bill into law. There is no middle
ground on this issue. If this was 1860 you would be voting for
candidates that are either for the continuation of slavery or
for abolishing it. That is the magnitude of this issue.
Now is the time to come to the aid of your nation. We must
all vote in this election.
“The sacred rights of mankind are not to be rummaged
for, among old parchments, or musty records. They are written
with a sunbeam in the whole volume of human nature, by the hand
of the divinity itself: and can never be erased or obscured by
mortal power.” - Alexander Hamilton 1775
