"CALL OF SPIRIT"
by Mari Hall

"CALL OF SPIRIT"

30 "H X 28"W, Oil On Canvas Unframed

USD $2,600.00

Birds are one of the artist's favorite symbols to use in her work. The artist uses them as a symbol of Spirit, the intuitive self reaching out to her. Birds often appear to her in her dreamwork.

In this piece, the bird has a magnetic quality. The bird is calling to the artist, to her artwork, to everything in life that brings joy and harmony.

This painting will appear as an illustration for an article written by Desmond Tutu, in the July-August 2004 issue of "The Other Side". "The Other Side" is a diverse nonprofit ministry founded in 1965, advancing a healing Christian vision that's biblical and compassionate, appreciative of the creative arts, and committed to the intimate intertwining of personal spirituality and social transformation
