"Windsong" from the Meditation Series, has a calming balance, and a very different palette from my other pieces. This painting shows the influence in my work of the hand crafting arts I saw in Washington. Hand quilting, intricately and meticulously crafted, is very popular in this area. I was inspired to show some of this influence in my work, to pay homage to a very 'womanly" art form.
