The
obvious question arising from this week of remembering the Tulsa
Massacre, recalling Rosewood and the bloody Red summer of 1919 is
“are White folks capable, savage and barbaric enough to do the
same thing again here in 2021?”
My
answer is yes, hell yes, without hesitation, reservation nor any
questions I believe they are more than capable, willing and wanting –
they are desirous, they yearn to do it – somewhere between
their fear, paranoia and blind hatred of us lies the hunger, the
craving to destroy Black folks.
And
I believe, if Trump is handcuffed and perk-walked out of Mara-Logo…
millions upon millions of “his” White folks would lose
their tobacco-chewing minds. It won’t mean nothing, nothing I
say if the charges are all on the up n’ up level, “T's”
crossed and “I's” dotted – and they will be,
without question, nonetheless the rank n’ file of Trump’s
troops will explode.
Both
aspects of this doomsday scenario are alarming to me, that one,
Trump is guilty of a plethora of crimes, his arrest is inevitable,
and two, White folks are more than capable and willing to wage war
against Blacks… and Latinos, and Indians, and Muslims, and
Immigrants from around the world. I think they'd plant nukes in the
"Urban" areas of cities across the country, blow up
schools, churches, malls, hospitals – everything their
not-so-great grandparents did, they do to, all it takes is a trigger.
Trump
is that trigger.
I
know the sinister clown has the innocent blood of millions of
Corona-virus victims on his little, tiny hands, I know he's ripped
the US Government off for millions, I know his biz-ness books are air
fried, they're smokin' they're so hot - he's as guilty as the devil
himself when it comes to a vast array of crimes from rape to
embezzlement, to fraud, as well as he's a punk, a bully, a liar, a
con-man and hustler… he's just a bad man.
But
what he is also, is beloved.
What
endears him to his base?
He’s
as racist as he is
orange and obese,
and he’s both - big time. Call him Orange
Puffy.
That’s the shared commonality of his base – hatred.
Racial/ethnic/religious/class. Trump hates poor White
trailer park trash - his
base, however, he loves to use them, to manipulate them like pawns,
like it's 1527 Ireland and they're his personal serfs… hand
puppets, yet, still they love him like we luv Pac… it's that
twisted.
Lord
Trump.
So
when he’s arrested and Black and Brown folks are dancing in the
streets, White girls are taking off their shoes and doing that thing
they all do, and liberal white guys are doing the robot… about
80% of White folks across the country will be freaking out.
The
sky will be falling, again, like it was when Obama was elected and
re-elected. Anytime the world’s spoiled brats don’t get
their way… the sky is falling - it’s so trifling.
Imagine
what FOX
will
be putting on the air? Social Media? Talk about the beating of war
drums…now here’s the tragedy in this… Black folks
won’t even know, we’ll be watching the game, the NBA game
or the hellacious housewives of Harlem as Dr. La Sapphire Jones and
Dr. La Psychotica Robinson put on a show that puts to shame anything
Robert Townsend mocked in “Hollywood Shuffle…”
I’m
just saying the god… truth, and you know it.
So
yes, when Trump is arrested, and he’s going to be, that will
trigger the next US Civil War, I just want you to know that. Is
Black America ready for that? No, not even kinda. Forget are we
organized for self-defense;
we're
not even mentally, intellectually prepared. We don’t grasp how
much we are hated. We don’t understand the history of this
land. If Hollywood doesn't put it into movie context… hey,
from Frederick Douglass to Harriet Tubman, to Angela Davis, Huey P
and Bobby Seal… we don’t know - if White folks didn’t
teach it to us, well then gee we don’t know. At least most of
us don’t. Sure about 25% of us are enlightened,
I don’t know about being Wok '' but I’ve been hip to the
White man’s jive for decades, but most of my peers - I can’t
say that.
We
are in a hostile land and don't even know it.
Hell,
we just figured out what Tulsa was, Black folks are still shocked by
these types of events. You know why? You know why we are
flabbergasted and dumbfounded"… Because White folks
didn't teach it to us, and of course we didn't go seek it out
ourselves…the NBA game is on.
“How
do you keep a secret from a Black man? Put it between the pages of a
book…he’ll never look there.”
After 25 years in public education, I hear Black boys and girls tell
me regularly how they "hate to read," and also how "they're
gonna grow up to be ballers, rappers, YouTubers and Tic-tockers."
I blame their parents, or at least the individual pretending
to be a parent. That love of learning, that thirst for knowledge,
that academic/intellectual curiosity… they leave that up to
White folks to instill in us.
White
kids, African kids, they tell me they want to be Architects,
engineers, doctors, marine biologists...
I
don’t know what to say…
I
do know this, however: if we are naively pondering if the Tulsa
massacre could play out again, wondering if a significant percentage
of White Americans can commit mass killings on this level, as we
witness white men commit mass murders virtually once a week across
America… We can't say that millions could sit quietly by and
not do anything - if we aren't sure of this recurring, then we are
fools.
It’ll
be so quiet across White America, Trump’s America you could
hear a big orange rat piss-on cotton.
