Black cartoonist implies sexual liaison between Bush and Rice

Hmm. Last year, a few of Khalil's Arab Muslim brothers used the N-word and the "monkey" appellation in reference to Ms. Rice. Now he's rounding out the descriptions with "slut".

How ironic. He's Uncle Tomming.

Or House Slaves to quote Harry Belafonte.....

Thought for sure this would be a BOONDOCKS (Aaron Macgruder) cartoon.

You can't win with these people (the libs I mean).... they simply turn around and take the other side of the argument when it suits them. It defies logic!

Can someone tell me who that is behind Rummy?

That is supposed to be Colin Powell.

I originally mistook the Rummy character for Ted Kennedy.

Great charicatures, Khalil...

It is a mirror image of how blacks view black women. They are first and foremost sex slaves. The number of single black mom's bears this out.

I don't consider Arab-Berber Algerians "blacks". He may be dark skinned and from northern Africa but he is not what I'd call an American "black". Not that I care about skin color but this guy is Algerian and has no family history in the US. In that regard he is no more an "American Black" that decends from slavery as I am.

He is also from a country that currently has what amounts to a form of slavery where people are kidnapped from their homes and forced to work for others. And it's a country where female genital mutilation and the abuse of women is very common. He comes here from a country that's a cesspool and has the nerve to slam the US? What an ass!

This guy might be a good artist be he is not an American from my viewpoint. He belongs to the country of "Muslim".

You're right -- and that makes me sad. I mean, it's as if you knew and cared about a lonely but really great woman, and then you see her take up with the worst sort of man... and the more you try to warn her, the angrier she gets at YOU.

The intent of somewhat ambiguous cartoons like this is to suggest these things, particularly when an outright statement of such is slanderous, thus I see no real point in insisting that the sleazoid cartoonist could not have been implying an improper relationship between GWB and Condoleezza Rice.

The thing I've never gotten about leftist political cartoons is that the cartoonists don't seem to grasp the concept of what a political cartoon is. They either:

a) Use the cartoon itself as mere space-filler, instead choosing to get the message across by inserting word balloons filled with about 100 words of text, explicitly and non-cleverly spelling out the message of the cartoon.

Or

b) Draw a cartoon about something that no one is thinking about, as in the case of this cartoon. I mean, seriously, is anyone talking about this? It's like the artist is doing this for his own amusement. A good cartoonist should draw/write something that's gonna make a wide audience go "Ha ha, yep."

Dude, c'mon, do you think the cartoonist's message is really that Condi and the Prez are close? That's a pretty tame and boring message to put across in a cartoon. Political cartoons are supposed to emphasize the sleazy, the corrupt, etc. It's pretty clear, especially with the "private conference" statement from Condi that it's implying something carnal is going on.

That's called a shadow.

I thought so, at first, too.

When I first noticed the deep shading, I tried to look at the long skinny neck as if it were in a shadow. But, it just didn't fit in with the rest of the author's more obviously hatched shading.

Her neck has a larger area of more solidly-dark shading than any other shaded area in the sketch. Hatching isn't as apparent on her neck as in other shadowy areas. It looks more like Condi is wearing a very thin, very long turtleneck or like she accidentally pulled an opaque nylon legging over her head.

Maybe the artist meant to make Condi look like a buzzard or vulture, (sharpened talons, long neck, and all).

Okay, guys, this cartoon has a porpoise...

It is not an isolated event

and it did not occur by accident!

Let's take a look at the cartoon again....

The cartoon can only have one meaning: there is a sexual liason between Condoleezza Rice, a black female, and George W. Bush, President of the United States, a white male.

Forget about the neck shadow and what she is wearing as a dress. Notice two things, the heart-shaped earrings implying romance, and the text itself, implying the need to come up with a cover story to delay the "meeting" with Powell, Cheney, and Rummy. Notice the three dots before "private meeting". That implies that Rice is trying to come up with a quick explanation of why they can't come in that will be somewhat believable. Then there's the "Do Not Disturb" sign, usually hung outside of a motel room.

Now perhaps the artist was an Arab anti-semite. The Sharon cartoon makes that clear. Okay, so be it. But also notice that he got paid by blackcommentator.com to make this cartoon exclusively for them. So it was not inteneded for the Arab press, either here in America or overseas.

It was intended for the black press, which is why it was published on blackcommentator.com in the first place!

Understand something; the black press is very liberal and left wing, even by the standards of the New York Times editorial page. But just like the conservative press, they have an information food chain.

The chain starts on the internet and flows out. The original posting of this indicated that the Freeper saw this cartoon in a black newspaper. Someone had to see this and decide that they wanted to put this in their paper. This cartoon, and other's like it, will be in other black papers across the nation, such as the Chicago Defender, the Miami Times, and the New York Amsterdam News.

Now ask yourself something very serious. Why would blackcommentator.com publish a cartoon that implied a sexual liason between Condi and GW? Especially when they understood that there was a good probability that it would be picked up?

After all, Condi has had reasonably good relations with the black community. Though she is a conservative and she works for Bush, she has received relatively little of the racist garbage that goes Clarence Thomas' way every day. She is popular among the rank and file as that single black woman who made it. She reminds a lot of black individuals, I will bet, of the aunt or sister who went to college and made it.

Some black conservatives tell the black community what it doesn't want to hear and get the Uncle Tom treatment because they've been so "in your face". The Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson or Armstrong Williams have been branded as minstrel-singing toadies for powerful white men.

Yet Condi has escaped this. Until now.

One of the finest methods of besmirching an opponent is to use what is called, in the espionage business, "black propaganda". Many times this is used to smear a national leader or a group of people. In World War II, the Germans would fire artillery shells at American lines that had black propaganda leaflets in them. The leaflets claimend that Jewish men were sleeping with the wives of soldiers at the front. For example:

This jpeg is an example of black propaganda: the war is the fault of the Jews, etc., etc.. Apologies in advance, btw, for having to go to Stormfront.org to get this image.

To understand the motive of the black liberals who run TBC in particular and the black press in general, one has to understand that they are very partisan Democrats. They literally hate us. They hate us so much that they believe we built the Klan from the ground up (which we did not-the KKK was an instrument of State terror used by the Democratic Party in the south during the period of one party rule to exert control) or that we will reinstitute chattel slavery (I'm not kidding here, folks. The same rationale governs Jewish attitudes towards Germans....). Besides, didn't we steal the Election in 2000 by disenfranchising black voters?

They have hitched their collective wagon, and that of the black community, to the success of the Democratic Party. That party dispenses patronage to favored blacks, and the black liberal leadership in this country doesn't want to lose its place. Now suppose, out of nowhere, Dick Cheney were to retire and George W. Bush decided to promote his black, female, National Security Advisor to the post of VP? Suppose Bush and Rice ran in 2004 and won an astounding victory?

Suppose Condi Rice was responsible for pushing Bush's take of the black vote to between 15 and 19 percent? Do you realize how many states would become Red states in the electoral college with a mere 10 percent increase in black votes for Republicans? Now fast forward to 2008? Suppose Condi is running against Hillary Clinton for the Big Girl's Chair?

To win, Hillary Clinton must draw even in white males.

To win, Hillary Clinton must take black females, white working women, hispanics and Asians of both genders. And she must do so decisively.

She cannot do that against Condoleezza Rice. Indeed, against Condi, I don't see black females voting for a white girl, especially one of Condi's stature. Condi would absolutely stomp Hillary Clinton all over the United States.

As things stand now, that is.

But suppose you could bring Rice into disrepute? Suppose you could make something up that played into some of the deepest, darkest prejudices of your own community? Suppose you could spread this falsehood to the larger black community and the white electorate beyond it?

Sex does that for you, especially if you're a committed black liberal and you need to find a chink in Condi Rice's armor.

You need to raise questions about her sexuality, and if that fails, you need to find a rationalization for her rise to power within the Republican Party. It's obvious to me, at least, that the Democrats have decided that Condi is heterosexual, so they are trying another tack.

The rationalization is rather simple: "Republicans are racists. Condi is black. Condi would never have been promoted unless she had consented to sleep with George W. Bush."

Now all of us on this board, black conservatives included, know that this is mendacious lie. But the black conservatives will also tell you that it is a lie that will resonate in the black community. A "black propagandist" knows his target well. The idea is to arouse contempt among black women and reproach among black men for a promising young black woman who sold out her community for sex.

For sex with a white man. Hell, Spike Lee made a movie about an interracial affair ("Jungle Fever")!

Interracial relationships are a huge bugaboo in the black community, perhaps less so than in the past, but it is there, nonetheless. Raising this to the level of an "issue" raises dormant memories of planters using the wives of their fieldhands for sexual satisfaction.

You all must understand how serious this is. This is not happening by accident. And it will be coupled, within six months, by a whispering campaign within the black churches that Rice and Bush are having an affair, and that's how Condi got as far as she did. I fully expect trueblackman and mhking to be telling us this very story within six to nine months. Black columnists in the black press will make sly implications (as in 'Dubya Bush's National Security "Advisor"', wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more, say no more....) about Condi's honor.

And it will be done for this reason: the Civil Rights crowd and their patrons in the White Wing of the Democratic Party (that is, the monied liberals and of course, the Clintons and their bootlicking toadies) know what we know-Rice is a mortal threat to them electorally and demographically.

What they cannot admit, what black liberals can never admit, is that Rice rose on her merits. That would imply that there is a place for other black people in the Republican Party. That possibility must be eliminated to maintain control over the black community by the White "Inner Party" that rules the Democratic roost.

I understood that this would happen someday. I dread that this campaign is on the horizon, as its target is one of the fine public servants of our day. However, if I know Condi Rice, she wasn't born yesterday, and is probably aware of this. And she has faith, strength, and honor on her side. These will be trying times for a preacher's kid. But everything I know about Condi Rice tells me that she is game for this fight.

She will need every ounce of faith to get through this. Call me pollyannish, but that might just be the thing she will need the most.

Be Seeing You,

Chris

Interesting post. In reading a book about anti-Catholicism through the years and the forms it's taken and its motivations, it's interesting to read about propoganda.

Much like the anti-Catholic propoganda through the years, this is built on almost backwards, 19th century style KKK propoganda tactics and imagery.
