Few
would disagree that Texas Governor Rick Perry,
the Tea Party poster-cowboy, can ride along with
that statement. Recall hes already threatened this President
with secession... civility was trampled-upon a long
time ago.. Can it be that the Lone Star States Governor
hopes to ignite Americas 2nd civil war...?
If Perry does... he aint the only one.
When you take a long-ass gander at these so-called United
States of America, it doesnt take x-ray vision to see
the obvious: theres no-need for the Southern loyalist
to re-enact the Civil War... it never ended; the
Confederates wont let it.
The widespread Sesquicentennial celebrations, which
applaud acts of treason and sabotage, serve as testaments
to The hate that wont die! Matter-of-factly, the Confederacy
- its malicious mind-set, its primitive perceptions
of people and arrogant Aryan-like attitudes have, over
the last century or so, spread to all ends of this nation.
You got Johnny Reb and Colonel Beauregard everywhere,
from Idaho to Key Largo, LA to Chesapeake Bay... sympathetic
in some manner to The Cause. For Rick Perry, the legions
of Ricky Bobbys who blindly honor revised redneck history,
their War of Northern Aggression, or The
battle for Southern Independence, for Southern states
to maintain their audacious God-given right to enslave,
murder and rape Africans.
This is a perspective undeniably impacts the Euro-American
(White Folks) belief system still today, providing the
philosophical foundation of racial hatred, the informal
segregation still practiced in virtually all facets of
the country, and the grumbling for some form of legal
apartheid to return.
They seek to cease with the informalities.
Thats
right - the idea that Blacks are inferior compared
to Whites - whore clearly superior - this still seems
a logical, deeply-seeded sentiment to millions of White
Americans, something worth fighting over in 1865, and
perhaps again today? What but such a stone-cold indifference
explains the pomp n circumstance being applied to festive,
lavish balls and extravaganzas - officially certified
events dignifying and glorifying a perverted Southern
way-of-life which cost uncountable Black lives to manufacture?
Its either an sought-after ignorance of the actual
barbarity of the uncivilized South or an deafening
arrogance - allowing one to ignore the horrors of
American Slavery, to detach from human-life... producing
the capability to condone it all, an ability to
say so what, rationalize, minimize, slight... justify
the unjustifiable?
It seems un-flippin believable... but a large, monolithic
chunk of White America desires to return to the Pre-Civil
War era, and if they cant have that... then say after
Reconstruction failed; thats the golden era of
race relations many of these Tea-Baggers yearn for: Get
a visual of Mississippi, circa 1898; share-croppin, Jim
Crow, Black Codes and State / County / local town justice;
translation - vigilante justice, the birth of the KKK...
home grown US terrorism in its infancy.
Trees, all over the country, baring strange fruit
. . . year round.
Do you think today, 2012, the rank n file real Americans
would still come, from miles around to picnic,
as scores once did - to behold a Black man, hell, lets
tell it like it really was - a women or child - swing,
like in the good ole days...? Considering the popularity
of Rush, Beck, FOX News... clearly I cant rule it out.
Admittedly thats an gruesome observation, but based
on listening to AM hate-Radio, reading the Townhall.com
propaganda - just by putting my ear-to-the-ground,
I can easily conclude these self-titled Patriots - the
peculating population of pissed-off Confederates below...
and above the Mason-Dixon Line, desire to
celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War - because
they, still today, in the 21st century, hold what the
Confederacy stood for and defended in high-regard.
Aint that a bitch?
The still-proud Confederate Governors of both Mississippi
n Texas, like much of their states White population...
dont read history and see treasonous Benedict Arnolds
who were willing to kill their brothers n uncles... for
the individuals right, the right of the state they lived
in - to legalize and maintain the enslavement of Africans.
They see Johnny Reb not letting some elitist
tell them how to treat their property / Niggers - they
see a hero.
Aint that a...?
See, this conflict cannot be solved via Washington legislation.
This bottomless racial / cultural gorge splitting America
is about humanization, trying to get White folks
to accept that Black people are... people, and equal to
Whites. The
lingering civil unrest, the never-ending cold civil
war in this country starts and ends with isolated,
insulated White America... their continuing ambivalence
and indifference to the people they stepped-on in their efforts to hand-make an empire.
And no goverment can legislate morality...
My paramount object
in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either
to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union
without freeing any slave I would do it. " - Abraham
Lincoln, August 22, 1862
Look, if mainstream White America had made measurable
progress in the area of human and civil rights since...
August 22, 1862 then we wouldnt see their deliberate
rekindling of another Civil War today.
The Archie Bunker base is instigating and agitating,
fanning-the-flames of hatred under the melting pot, with
their over-the-top vilification of Black people - starting
with the Black President upon whom theyve declared war,
combined with traditional racism and oppression. The Gestapo
type tactics of local police forces throughout the country
and the abandonment of the public education system are
partnered with the exodus of breadwinner jobs, the creation
of private for-profit prisons and 4th world health-care
options...
See, much of White America regards Black folks in the
same dismal...I never owned any slaves... light, akin
to the ambivalence the Great Emancipator had for us
- and thats the precise problem -there unique case of
amnesia and the denial of White Privilege.
The current financial crises is being manipulated by
Tea Baggers who hope to sabotage the US economy, remove
the safety-net, crumble the strong federal government
which orchestrated the end of states rights - the right
to privately pimp, exploit, oppress and abuse Americans-of-color.
This divided land stands on the verge of what? The shot-gun
wound of racism is still open as far as Black Americans
are concerned, while for sympathizers of the Confederacy,
anger and resentment remains alive n well in the hearts
n minds of card-carrying Tea Party good ole boys. They
want to put people back in chains, and if they cant do
that - they at least want to return to an Separate n
Unequal America.
They seek to continue the Civil War, to start Civil War
II... in-order to take back their country.
Granted, after 1865, the civil war halted... yet it didnt
end, it became a different type of war, perhaps a cold
civil war, where there have been, over the last 150
years, what are moments - like right now, and hot-spots
erupt - the wide-spread malice is so thick in the air
you can taste it. Its best summarized as a concerning,
alarming racist rage the Confederate extremisst
still maintain to this day... demanding, if anybodys
attention - that of Black folks.
It
cant be dismissed as Rednecks gone mad. They
want to rehang the Whites Only n No Dogs - No Mexicans
signs all over town, and if it takes another civil war...
This Tea Party hatred is organized and structured;
a case of businessmen, doctors, teachers, cops, engineers,
butchers, bakers and computer-chip makers showing their
true racist feelings and prejudice emotions. These tasteless
Civil War commemorations are opportunities for them to
show their true Grey n Red colors they cant pass up.
