“I would have been able to free a thousand more slaves if I could only have convinced them that they were slaves.”
-Harriet Tubman

The experiments by famed Russian scientist Ivan Petrovich Pavlov, wherein he discovered that dogs would, with certain stimulus, begin to salivate even before being fed any food whatsoever is ominously akin to the mental state of affairs of much of the U.S. populace of all colors today. The 21st century has ushered in an Orwellian reality that even George Orwell did not envision. The United States populace collectively has been, and is being, manipulated into a nation of unquestioning, trained psychological slaves who, despite obvious economic and social realities, drool at the mouth as we are constantly primed and fed a stream of disinformation, obfuscation and lies from the government and its corporate-stream media. The end game is, of course, utter catastrophe for everyday people.

The corporate Democratic Party foxes and Republican Party wolves have wedged the peoples of this nation and world between the jaws of the steely vice of double-speak insanity and ever deepening calamity. Even the so-called ‘American’ dream of justice and democracy has been manipulated and distorted into something grotesque and unrecognizable. That dream, such as it was, has been deferred, deformed, and derailed. This alleged bastion of democracy is now undeniably the bastion of hypocrisy and engineered lethargy.

We are now existing in the pale age of unbridled corporate / military terrorism and subterfuge gone absolutely berserk. Under the insidious leadership of “Mr. Hope-and-change-we-can-believe-in,”Barack Obama, this nation has accomplished the impossible - by going even further backwards, all in the nebulous and cynical name of progress, “hope and change.”

Government intimidation and police terror against everyday Black, White, Brown, Red, and Yellow people are rampant in this nation. Economic and ecological terror against everyday people of all colors in this nation, are at an all time high and rising. Racial disparity and mass incarceration are at epidemic proportions. The thoroughly under-reported U.S. wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan and elsewhere on this planet are raging, as our young men and women return in body bags, or wounded in body and mind, and the peoples of the nations that they have been ordered to subdue are being slaughtered.

Yet, thanks to constant government and corporate-stream media lies and obfuscation, the people of this nation have been trained to salivate with anticipation for even more of this insanity. As everyday people in this nation and around the world burn in the fires of growing hopelessness and despair, politicians and the corporate-stream media feed us a litany of lies - in order to keep the people resigned to their / our fate.

What will it take for us to stop salivating and start biting - biting the avaricious hands of the corporate / military elite and the corporate-stream mis-media who are pounding us into the ground?! Yes, it’s time to stop salivating and start biting!

Slavery has many forms, and the populace of this nation - all of us - must recognize that we are slaves to and of an irreconcilably corrupt political system. We must remember the poignant words of Harriet Tubman, and recognize that we are slaves; and then take effective, appropriate, and consistent actions to free ourselves!

We must understand the first law of physics that two things cannot exist in the same place at the same time. Thus, we must struggle for total systemic change, rejecting the deadly vice of the Democratic Party foxes and the Republican Party wolves - whose goal is to keep us confused and lethargic even as they devour us politically and economically. We cannot have the same corrupt political system in place and logically expect simultaneously to also have systemic change! Let us be both logical and honest with ourselves.

The so-called “change” referred to by Barack Obama, and the corporate-stream media is, in fact, fake change - more of the same - only worse. It can be immediately identified by its superficiality and obfuscation. It is death change, or what some in the hood would refer to as ‘chump change.’

Time to stop salivating, and to start uncompromisingly educating, agitating, and organizing to bring about real systemic change locally, nationally, and internationally. Time to work to free ourselves from this political, economic, and social slavery!

Stop salivating for catastrophe! We do not have to be Pavlov’s dog. Engage in the struggle for freedom - by doing your part in bringing about real systemic change!

Onward my sisters and brothers! Onward! There is much work to be done!
