Artists Statement: This photo was the first in a series that was to be titled "Resting Place". However, the NO PARKING ANYTIME sign adjacent to the LAY DOWN YOUR BURDENS AT THE CROSS message, presented an odd irony that could not be ignored. The challenge of parking ones burdens in life is huge due to the existance of so many no parking signs. It is best to ignore all the signs put up by the pigs of the power structure. I hope this photo gives you a wry lift in your effort to wake every day feeling militant, angry and impatient.
