The purpose of this message is to offer a sincere thank you to all the BC readers whose financial contributions kept us going for another month.

On February 19, 2009 we reported that the explanation about the "emergency" was simple.  We told readers the very small group of people who are financially responsible for BlackCommentator.com have run out of money, credit and the ability to borrow from friends and family.

We announced a survival goal for the month of no less than $4,200 (four thousand two hundred dollars).

We are very happy to report that the total contributed as of March 4th, 2009 is $4,629 dollars.

The pressure is off for the time being. We still need help to continue and may have to come back again in the near future. For now, however, we are relieved and very thankful.
