Multi-tasking in between jobs & preparing meals she nurtures her young to be confident in a daily stride against the odds & smiles as her three daughters Gwen, Cassandra & Jennifer who’s jumping rope outside with a book in hand & giggling with the other girls they all swear an oath to sisterhood Have You Seen Her? getting all educated with dreams of becoming surgeons dreams of handling civil law cases dreams of being an activist dreams of dancing in recitals dreams of writing poetry dreams of putting lesson plans together the businesswoman making a fortune owning several coliseums Have you Seen Her? dressed in fancy wares on the yard that we call the world her pointer is on access to success imagine her: she's woman of color telling the world to get out the way of the African Latina Asian Native American from grade school to college grad stepping with a head risen & a 4.0 Have You Seen Her? The only intelligent woman to meet Louise, Ruby, Priscilla & get their approval pay attention these same women taught me all that I know watched me struggle to take my firsts steps

Bolton), is a poet (spoken word artist) and producer, born in Pascagoula, Mississippi and raised in Paterson, New Jersey. Cedric received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Washington University and currently resides, with his wife, in Syracuse, New York. He is the Founder of Poetic Black Fusion, a writers' workshop that provides access and opportunities to poets of African Ancestry living in Central New York. He is also the co-founder of Voices Merging, a student-run poetry organization (spoken word) at the University of Minnesota that provides a social outlet for undergraduate students to develop as writers, network and express themselves on stage. He has been writing poetry for 14 years and is published in the Ethnic Student Center's Newsletter at Western Washington University, The Spokesman Recorder, and St. Cloud Times.
