Update
on What’s Happening at BlackCommentator.com
Dear
BC Readers,
If
you’ve read recent issues, you know we lost the use of our
group email and subscription programs when we were forced to move to
a new server. In spite of losing key pieces of the website, we kept
publishing, stayed in touch with you as best we could through Twitter
and Facebook. Now, we’re partway back to normal.
Thanks
to a good friend of BC, our group email program is mostly back up and
running. Did you receive an email from BC letting you know that this
issue was ready? Be sure to add [email protected]
to your email “safe list” or Contacts to ensure we don’t
end up in your SPAM folder. And if you didn’t receive an email,
click here to send us a message and we will get you on the list.
You will receive a notice with each new issue of BC.
We
will never sell or share your email address with anyone.
We’re
still working on the subscription program, and hope to have that
ready for you in a few weeks. Meanwhile, we are getting by with
contributions from readers like you. There is a significant cost
associated with getting this project done and with a large portion of
subscription revenue gone, we’re scrambling. So many people are
out of work or otherwise struggling that we’ve hesitated to ask
for help, and yet, now we must.
If
you can help, now is the time. And if you can contribute $40 or more,
your contribution will convert to a subscription just as soon as
subscriptions are available again. Please keep in mind that under IRS
rules, your contributions, while needed very much, are not tax
deductible. So please click here
to contribute;
we appreciate any help you can give.
In
Solidarity and Peace,
Peter
