Let’s walk n’ talk: I’ve been a starving freelance wordsmith for, damn, decades now, and throughout this journey I’ve advocated Black folks dust-off the Last Poets “Wake-Up,” play it over n’ over again, hopefully so to realize we’re “living behind enemy lines,” within the belly of the beast. It seems to me that since the late 1970s, Black folks have deluded themselves into believing we’d overcome, and the “American Dream” was up for grabs, that skin color didn’t matter and most white folks were color blind.

We were delusionally wrong. Trump’s America sees color alright - Black and White.

In light of the darkness, we, as unwanted people, must accept that Trump’s America does not “like” us. Instead, they half-heartedly “tolerate” us because they’ve felt like they had to because the world has been watching since the 1960s, amazed at the barbarism enlisted to oppress Black folks, in a nation which claims to be the most advanced form of organized humanity in the annals of time - a civilized civilization where liberty, equality justice and freedom reign from sea-to-shining sea...

White man, please! Like Frederick Douglass, I learned to read a long time ago, and I’ve always been intellectually curious, pondering “why.” This leads me to the 1960s Kerner Report, which infamously concluded that the nation was “moving toward two societies, one black, one white - separate and unequal.” Unless conditions were remedied, the Commission warned, the country faced a “system of ‘apartheid’” in its major cities. The Kerner report delivered an indictment of “white society” for isolating and neglecting African Americans and urged legislation to promote racial integration and to enrich slums, primarily through the creation of jobs, job training programs, and decent housing.” President Johnson, however, rejected the recommendations... As did President Ronnie “666” Ray-Gun and today King Trump - the result is what we’ve got now: smoke in the air, blood in the streets... Burn Baby Burn.

We’re rapidly approaching the point of no return, a civil/race war which will make the Middle East and Northern Ireland (back in the day) look like a backyard family brawl. “Guns,” you talking about guns, everybody and their momma got a gun - that’s the goddamn problem - this is a nation in which millions are locked and cocked, (both barrels) a nation of slightly-educated and mildly-enlightened folks, well-dressed cave people - luck ain’t on our side and god may not give damn about us.

I refuse to “go along to get along” to not make a scene, but gee whiz guys, I refuse to use my extremely limited brain power to write about and discuss issues which I deem as damn near irrelevant at this time.

We black folks are sailing on the ill-fated RMS Titanic, and we’re, yes, still talking about rearranging the deck chairs.

Open Season on Niggers... No, within Trump’s America they don’t call us “Black,” they refer to us behind closed doors as “Niggers” and yes, they’ve declared, officially/unofficially that it’s “OPEN SEASON” on “who” and “what” Trump’s America regards as semi/quasi human. Supposedly, we shouldn’t refer to them as “the Pigs;” nonetheless they treat us as worthless Niggers.

Congressman Bobby Rush just put it in a nutshell:” The number one cause that prevents police accountability, that promotes police corruption, that protects police lawlessness, is a culprit called the Fraternal Order of Police,” the Chicago Democrat said in an interview with POLITICO on Sunday. “They’re the organized guardians of continuous police lawlessness, of police murder and police brutality. The Chicago Fraternal Order of Police is the most rabid, racist body of criminal lawlessness by police in the land. It stood shoulder to shoulder with the Ku Klux Klan then and the Ku Klux Klan now.”

The police are here to “protect and serve” white folks, get it twisted right!

To Hell with Black Heritage: Tulsa and Juneteenth... King Trump and his cultish followers do not give a damn about Black Heritage. Moving the “Klan Lite” rally back a day is a day late and gazillions dollars short in authentic sincerity and genuine respect. Trump didn’t know nor care about the Tulsa Massacre or the celebration of Juneteenth, and when he was informed, he still didn’t give a damn. He may have moved the “Make America White again” Jamboree back a day - but he still does not give a damn, nor do his followers.

Look, at some point, we as Black folks are going to have to decipher what disdain and malice Trump’s America maintains for Black people. Trump and his cult, from bottom to top couldn’t give a damn about Black people, our trials and tribulations, for which they, as a group are collectively responsible, either with their assistance or with their resistance to get involved, stand up and speak out against their brother-in-law, cousin and father, who they know blindly hates Black people and discriminates against us at every opportunity.

It’s why Trump and his boys insult Michelle Obama, belittle Congresswoman Maxine Waters, take shots at MSNBC Contributor Yamiche Alcindor - these Rednecks are letting Black men know “I don’t give a damn boy I’ll insult Black women at will,” those aren’t ladies to Trump’s cult - they’re merely the “female of the species.”

Confederate Cult...

The championing of the slaveholding Confederacy, supporting traitors over Black American citizens, this is a disturbing problem and reflects the idea Black folks will never be welcomed in an empire we built.

Now, should we be shocked that Trump’s America, which sided with Trump despite his bro-mance with Vladdy the Russian communist dictator, would also side with the supporters of treasonous slaveholders, opposed to Black citizens? Our ranks are made up of Black soldiers, doctors, teachers, worker ants and bees, from all walks of life, many of whom served this country in the line of fire, and yet, and yet... And yet Trump’s rank n’ file side with Neo-Confederates. Ain’t that a predictable bitch for our naive asses to absorb?

Biden is right, they do (at least a few million of them) want to put us back in chains!

I’m going to keep singing this song in hopes of Bill Maher reading it - check it: The “Confederate States of America” isn’t merely an antiquated geographical location. Nor is it a “Lost Cause.” Rather, it’s a never abandoned, never forsaken “state of mind.”

The Confederacy hasn’t ever really been disavowed nor rejected. No, instead it’s a “way of life,” a racist philosophy which obviously and undeniably still lives on and breathes deeply in the cold hearts, small minds and soul-less souls of millions upon millions, upon millions of White Americans, who live not only beneath the Mason Dixon Line, but also reside in Oregon, Maine, Arizona, Alaska, Hawaii - Boston to Austin... LA to the Chesapeake Bay, all throughout these no longer seriously considered to be the United States of America.

The Confederacy is not simply a hallowed and yet morally hollow location. Instead, it’s what Trump’s America holds as holy land. It’s a make believe and manmade homeland for Good Ole’ boys n’ gals where their scary-as-hell cultural attitude and universal point of view of history of people and of the future of America dwells in blind hatred.

The Confederate States of America, commonly referred to as ‘the Confederacy’ - was an unrecognized republic that warred against the United States during the American Civil War. In a speech known today as the Cornerstone Address, Confederate Vice President Alexander H. Stephens described its ideology as being centrally based “upon the great truth that the negro is not equal to the white man; that slavery, subordination to the superior race, is his natural and normal condition.”

“Warred against,” i.e., traitors, renegades, turncoats, double-crossing backstabbing Benedict Arnolds, historical characters who are still today held in the highest esteem by millions of White Americans, from the draft-dodging sitting President to police officers - folks in the US armed forces, teachers, doctors, lawyers, tow-truck drivers in Tupelo Mississippi - all have adopted and embraced this racist heritage, camouflaging it as “Southern Heritage... Not hate!”

Please, please... Please! Look-a-here; don’t piss down my back, and then tell me it’s raining.

Ben Carson, Tim Scott, Cadence Owens, Larry Elder and ole’ Uncle Tom himself, Clarence Thomas - Trump’s “useful” idiots, these mindless and spineless pawns, “lost Negroes” who come with a price tag, alas “sell-outs.” If these clowns aren’t Trump’s official “House Negroes” then I want to know who is. I thought the 5th-tier preacher pimps he had on his payroll were weak, like Darrel Scott, but watching all these buffoons politically “shuck n’ jive” trying to defend police executions and Trump’s defense of the Confederacy is pathetic.

Witnessing some of these trifling’ negroes twisting themselves into a political pretzel as if they were Gumby would be a comical sight, if it weren’t so pathetically traitorous in the midst of an escalating Cold War which is today street battles and tomorrow, who knows - Trump’s ordering the bayonet strapped 82nd into Harlem or Compton.

I want to know either what’s in it for them financially, or how much do they despise and loathe their own people? These negroes would put their mommas on the corner if the price was right.

No question about it, the “melting-pot” is honestly a frying pan, moments away from bursting into flame. America’s roof, the roof, the roof is on fire!
