Same thing, right?
Two sides of the same 1863 Confederate coin? Either way what’s
the difference here in Trump’s America, 2018?
Dig it, even
Republicans are now declaring the obvious: Lord Trump has a
“cult-like” grip on the Republican TEA Party, from the
top political tier, down-to the rank n’ file rednecks. From
tow-truck drivers in Tupelo Mississippi to teachers in Tacoma
Washington. There's no debate - this is the unofficial/official
“Party of White people,” specifically and particularly
white males, and their (possessive/ownership) “gutless”
white women. Trump’s GOP is the party of “Global
Manifest Destiny” and “American Exceptionalism“
which are both a polite, yet full of shit way of saying “White
Supremacy,” akin-to putting’ lipstick on a Klansman . .
. .”
This can only get
worse, and it will.
Why didn’t we,
we Americans of color, the descendants of those who were enslaved,
interned and had genocide waged upon us, why didn’t we see
this backlash coming?
How did this era of
21st century Negroes not see what I and I’d surmise maybe 10%
to 20% of we Afro-Americans saw? We saw Trump coming like I’d
see Beyonce’s “behind” comin’ from 2
nautical miles away . . . seriously.
I observed this
“Confederate-backlash” brewing since 1980 with Ray-Gun
launching his backlash presidency from Philadelphia . . .
Mississippi. I saw the hatred ignited with the election of President
Obama. I knew they’d “hound” him like Nat Turner on
the run from day-one. And they did. However, I saw Trump looming on
the horizon two-plus years ago and my peers dismissed me as the
conspiratorial, listening too much to white folks paranoid dude who
doesn't trust white folks and doesn't know enough “cool”
white folks.
Negros please!.
Ponder this poignant
point: the same racist mindset which facilitated cotton plantations,
Indian reservations and Japanese internment camps still lives in the
heart and soul of a damn near monolithically thinking white America
today. As a people, as a culture, represented by Trump . . . they’ve
no problem, no qualms about breaking-up Latino families at the
southern border - Trump, Stephen Miller, Bannock, Giuliani - the
poster-punks for White America who absolutely do represent, reflect
and embody the morals, values and ethics of White America . . . don’t
give a damn about breaking up families. White America - on a whole,
and that’s scary . . . they sleep well at night, despite
knowing they’re emboldening and enabling the tearing-of infants
from their mother and father’s arms.
They’re good.
They’re okay with it. No apologies.
Good lord, who does
this?
Who does this? White
America.
Who sacrifices
children, uses them as a prop to deter others? White America. Who
handed-out measles infected blankets to American Indians? Who
injected black folks with syphilis unbeknownst to them?
How? Why? I’d
argue there’s an culturally inherent “indifference”
to other forms of humanity. And please note: they’re doing it
for the financial profit: I’d wager there’re private
enterprises who’re pimping these innocents. As well as this is
“preventive” voter-repression as far “Trump-publicans”
see it - these migrants are potential/likely Democrats in their
small-minds.
Now wait, former GOP
head Michael Steele, a black Republican was on MSNBC warning folks
that if Trump is doing this to these children of color, what makes
you think he won’t do it to yours?
Steele is the black
crow in the mine shaft: I submit if Steele thinks we’re, as a
nation, not too far from this “Confederate-minded”
ultra-White House imprisoning/interning/detaining . . . whatever you
want to call it Americans of color they've deemed as “home
grown terrorist” - then I think we, as a people ought-to
sit-up and take notice. We’re the dissenters and hard-heads
Trump was referring-to when he stated he wanted his people to also
“sit-up, and pay-attention” when he speaks.
He’s about to
get our attention.
Trump and the White
America which willingly and proudly supports him, they well
understand what’s about to happen, we, the little people will
be out in the streets protesting this and other Draconian measures
coming down the pike, and Trump’s stormtroopers can’t
wait to let the dogs, tanks, anti-aircraft guns loose on Americans of
color.
The Purge.
Americans of color
are 3rd class Americans - this administration, and the white nation
that supports them will have no trouble locking our asses up, taking
our children.
Wake-up black and
brown people. Yes, Trump’s heading-up a national coast-to-coast
cult, but it’s also the reincarnation of the Ku Klux Klan on a
mass bases, merely minus the white sheets. Trump’s supporters
are blindly in his racist/sexist/elitist coffin-corner. Yes, you bet,
Trump could have black folks lynched in Times Square and 89% of his
Republican TEA Party would back him, just as they’d
rationalize, minimize and justify the heartless and cruel breaking-up
families at the southern border.
US History 101 is
replete with this-type barbaric behavior. That’s why I’m
so disgusted with the “shock n’ awe” response I see
and hear all around me. Let me be brutally sharp, blunt and honest:
there’s not a damn thing “shocking” about what
we’re all witnessing, nothing. This is what I expected this
administration to do, and this is the response of his “cult/base”
I anticipated. Why my black n’ tan brothers n’ sisters
are “taken-aback” by these inhuman acts of inhumanity, I
don’t know.
Oh yes I do.
These people, my
people are “lost,” blinded by the 400 year long process
we’ve endured, and over the last three or four generations of
daddy-less families we’ve “raised” - and I employ
that word with hesitation n’ reservation, for this is an era of
Negroes who don’t know “jack-shit from Shinola . . .”
And I can defend that sentiment all day long.
Tragically, most
don’t know anything about math, science and literature
compared-to their Euro-American (white) student peers. And don’t
say a damn thing to me about their knowledge-of and thrust-for
Afro-American history, American history, African history or world
history. They know the history of rap maybe, or” Nike”
or the NBA since 1990. Sorry, I’m telling the sad,
embarrassing and highly uncomfortable burning-bush truth!
The vast-majority
don’t know Isaac Newton from Huey P. Newton - and I can’t
and don’t just blame the white power structure, I expect it
from them! I blame the black family/church/village . . . Negroes and
flies. Please!
Black America needs
an “historical enlightenment” . . . or an suppository.
As Malcolm X
offered “a people who don’t know their history, are
doomed to repeat it.”
Which is exactly
what we’re doing because we, as a people are, once again, lost.
If more Black men, ages 18 to 80 would have voted in 2016. . . King
“Lear” Trump wouldn’t be at the throne. Had not 10%
of Black America voted “for” this despicable, deplorable
creature, those Latino immigrant families, fleeing the delayed and
prolonged fallout of European colonialism and contemporary American
intervention in their homelands, wouldn’t be torn apart like
there are today.
Black America could
have halted the Trump train, derailed it, but brother’s didn’t
show-up.
We’d best
show-up in the 2016 midterms elections, or this grand pooh bah of the
Invisible Knights will show-out. It’s the “ballot or the
bullet” in 2016 - if we don’t stop them now with our
ballots, we’ll be defending our families with bullets sooner
rather than later.
I Can’t even
speak to the 35% or so of Latinos who backed this man - you’ve
been employed as “useful tools” and “helpful
idiots.” I hope what you’re witnessing is the 2:37 am
wake-your asses up call you people, yes you people, who struggle with
the notion of being “white” desperately needed.
Trump and White
America don’t see you as “almost” or damn near
white. You’re “brown niggers” as far as their
concerned. Just as Indians are “red niggers” and Arabs
are “sand niggers. Yes, they’ve multiple terms of
endearment for those not like them. Yes, the hate is great, and it’s
blind - we’re all sub-human. History illustrates just that. The
deeds of white America, even before the inception of the country,
going back to Pilgrims exemplifies that what we’re seeing today
is merely . . . ”business as usual.”
