If it looks, walks n’ talks like a half-mad vengeful Klansman . . . forgive me, but I’m going to believe my lying eyes n’ ears - and brand it, i.e., Donald Trump, a Klansman. The illegitimate Presidency of Donald Trump is the beginning of the end of these once alleged-to-be “United” States of America. Congressman John Lewis declared; “I don’t see Trump as an legitimate President. I cannot be at home with something that is wrong.” Nor can I.

Yes, the sky is falling’. And next week on January 20th, high noon . . . it will have done fallen.

Once upon a time, say 1976, when this fragmented nation, still reeling from the turbulent 60’s elected a decent man to the White House, peanut farmer Jimmy Carter - I’d argue America had a chance, granted a slim-ass, outside chance, but a chance nonetheless, to live-up to it’s hollow and shallow creed “all men are created equal.” But come 1980 and the election of Ronnie “666” Ray-gun it’d become crystal clear White America wasn’t about to be going peacefully and quietly into the future. No, instead since then they’ve resisted what the civilized world’s conceded is “progress,” yet instead they’ve passively, but aggressively “dug-in,” holding the red lines of segregation one-way or another. Mainstream caucasians, of all persuasions have committed-to “White Flight” and “re-gentrification” as the tools to avoid racial integration - which would logically lead-to, oh my god - liberty, equality and the pursuit of happiness by all.

Ray-gun, followed by the Bush/Clinton presidencies all but guaranteed America would remain at least two or three nations within one decadent empire; separate and unequal in every element and factor which matters. A multi-tiered land where White folks seem highly content with building more prisons than pre-schools and creating a “school to private, for-profit prison pipeline.” They seemed content with quality medical care only affordable for the wealthy. The Wasp investor class content exporting breadwinner blue-collar jobs. And Hillary seemed, in 2008, content to continue with the highly profitable insanity

Then along came Obama.

From day-one, the good-natured placid, amiable, high-brow thinker, President Obama simply refused to go verbal blow for verbal blow, refused to exchange “your mommas so ugly” insults. He wouldn't ”get down with the get down,” wade-off into the pool of mud that is Washington politics and trade blows with the likes of Senator Mitch McConnell and all the good ol’ boys, even though, even though I say we knew they’d promptly taken a sworn oath to “pitch a bitch” for the entire 4-year ride. A neo-confederate-spirited effort to do all they could do to deter, defame, deride, hinder and hamper every move, every word, every deed this particular President put forward. Why? Not because he was a Democrat, he wasn’t the first, nor because he was from Illinois, he wasn’t the first President from that great state - no he was marked from “jumpstreet” because of the color of his skin. Weighed, measured n’ pounded because of the color of his skin, nothing to do with or based-upon the content of his character, ideals or objectives.

White America’s overreaction to a Black man running the show revealed what many of us already knew; there’s obviously still a deeply entrenched, coast-to-coast, monolithic, fossilized cultural mentality which screams “White privilege and dominance will be maintained by any means required!”

And so we end-up right here n’ now with a conman, a hustler baby.

Trump’s election underlines the sentiment; “If White folks had to dance with the flame-haired devil himself. . . “ their unreasoned racism, classism and sexism would allow them to Square Dance all night long. A coalition of all kinds of White folks has just given permission for “South to rise” and, what we’re finding out - even Benedict Arnold-type treason will be dismissed - in order to make America White again. Here in 2017 more Republicans like, identify and relate-to Russian Emperor Vladimir Putin than they do a outgoing Black President and the rainbow coalition which facilitated his two term presidency.

Who is honestly surprised by that “preference” and level of comfort?”

Look here, dig this heavy, heavy observation; When somebody tells you who they are - believe them. Why don’t we believe who n’ what King Trump keeps telling and showing us he is?

On the eve of Donald J. Trump’s illegitimate inauguration over half of this nation’s population believes he’ll be in the mirror mouthing the words he really wants to declare to the world "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, except in the case of the Niggers, Nigger lovers, Spics, Chinks, Injunes and raghead Sand Niggers . . . I will, in the end - make America White again. “

And on the eve of Trump’s illegitimate reign, this may be, for a number of starving wordsmiths like myself, who try to stir the souls of Black folk, we, our editors and publication creators may be silenced and punished for telling’ it like it really is, who knows? True we may be low on the hit list, nevertheless . . . we are at the mercy of Trump and his brown-nosing brownshirts.

It’s as simple as it seems - Trump is what he appears to undeniably be, a by-product of White hatred, anger, resentment, envy and false illusions of an superior grandiose All-American White culture. And obviously the President-elect has yet to disavow those who endorsed him, such as the Klan, the Nazis and yes Vladdy the Communist, thus making him deliberately, strategically “guilty by association.” So yes, if it looks, walks n’ talks like an illegit racist, sexist, elitist xenophobic warhawk, then I ’d argue it is.
