Some of us in America are marching to the sound of a Pied Piper; a piper that promotes division, a piper that mimics a bully, a piper that desires social digression. Now that Americans, left of conservatism, have had just about enough of the Republican’s 1950’s rhetoric and are confronting the racist dog-whistles of New York business mogul Donald Trump, even the mainstream media cannot deny the deluded analysis of the Trump effect.

We all watched the violent confrontations between white supporters of Donald Trump and a racially diverse band of protestors opposing the Trump candidacy. The face-to-face battles are timid compared to the 1960’s. Listening to my diverse group of news sources, as if on cue, press pundits and aficionados are dancing around the 800-pound gorilla in the room—race—to offer the general populace of America a reason for the confrontations. We hear the often repeated refrain of “anger over the economy that Americans—on both sides—are feeling.” Simply stated: That reasoning is diversionary garbage.

This false equivalency of the people’s “anger” over the state of the economy with unveiled racism is maddening to me. Most have gotten voluntary amnesia, but Donald Trump’s campaign for President has captured the country’s attention with his high profile, unabashed attack on political correctness.

White conservatives have bemoaned having to be “PC” for some years now. They’ve been angry about the so-called curtailment of their First Amendment right to free speech. They claim the country has taken a “left turn” onto the road of political correctness. White social conservatives have grieved about being chided for disrespectful, demeaning and insulting language that they so freely used in their recent collective memories. But then things changed.

Along with the era of political correctness, came the boom and bust of the American economy; an injustice against Americans across all demographics who lost substantial wealth and assets when Wall Street (led by the Bush Administration) raped the nation’s working class. Even though people of color suffered proportionally greater losses, white Americans couldn’t believe that they too, would get screwed by the con men in suits. White America lost years of the good life, and they’re fighting mad about it. They need scapegoats!

Their use of anger is but a cover for the real sentiment of not being able to be the up-front, open racists they want to be. White people with great racial prejudices want an excuse to be racists without being revealed as racists. What’s sad is that their anti-American behaviors are so clearly evident. To divert our attention from the Trump pied piper’s racist rhetoric, media places reactions to his demagoguery on protestors. Well, that is a vicious American norm. Blaming the victim is what this country does well, and does best.

Political analyst and Vice Chair of Voter Registration and Participation at the Democratic National Committee, Donna Brazile stated that Donald Trump is just saying what’s been said on talk radio for the last two decades. Just because you have the right to disrespect someone else, ask yourself: Why would you? Insults are solely designed to gain a superior posture over someone else. That’s pretty much the essence of the Tea Party’s “Take Our Country Back” campaign of the Tea Party that spawned in time for the 2010 election.

Republican candidate, Sen. Marco Rubio, blamed professional protesters for disrupting Trump rallies, as opposed to placing the real burden of guilt on the originator of hate-filled rhetoric—Donald Trump. For the record, professional protestors aren’t the only ones hitting back against Donald Trump. There are mounting numbers of student groups who are organizing against xenophobia and Trumps’ other ‘isms.

Conservative pundit Ann Coulter tweeted that "left-wing fascists violently shut down a peaceful Trump rally last night & Cruz + the entire media took the animals' side.” These so-called political analysts leave out the reason people are protesting Trump to begin with! His words (though elementary in grammatical construction) are vitriolic at their base.

His quotes are viral (not in the sense of social contagion, but in the sense of social toxicity), and have thrown an already-infected sector of the country into relapse: undercover racists. You see, I’ve come to learn that most white Americans have a high pre-disposition to racist behaviors. Most do not want to be exposed. They’re willing to maintain politically correctness, but once the wafer thin firewall’s breach, out with the civility and in with the real face of America!

The tactic of diverting the public’s attention away from his demonic behavior is what Trump does second best. What he does best is grade-school name-calling. He is now placing the onus of disruptive protestors on Sen. Bernie Sanders. In addition to misusing the Senator’s “Socialist” label as yet another misleading Trump tactic. Trump’s followers see it, but they want what they want so bad—and believe that they’re entitled to it—that they ignore facts. Always remember the Birther Movement (the myth around Obama’s birth certificate), if you need to be reminded of a Trump-led, manufactured controversy.

Furthermore, what’s insane to me is that anyone could give credence to the premise that Sen. Bernie Sanders is the cause of violence at Donald Trump’s event, when Trump encourages his supporters to “punch ‘em in the face.”

The mainstream media—namely ABC News—has given voice to this assertion! Donald Trump in Cleveland said, “They come from Bernie’s crowd!” with no evidence of such an allegation; and with no evidence, wouldn’t that make Trump a liar? Donald Trump has even called Sen. Sanders a Communist in the past. And, no, Sanders is not a Communist…just another deception.

In Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Donald Trump said of anti-Trump protestors, “Knock the crap out of him…I’ll pay the legal bills.” Some Republicans have been quoted as framing this election as “the most fun election in a long time!”

You must understand that Republicans—mainstream or otherwise—want to maintain white superiority. That’s what their divisive, imperialist policies are all about. Rescinding the Voting Rights Act, prolonging stagnant wages, obliterating gun control laws and gerrymandering are all intended to keep power and control in the hands of white males, in anticipation of the day they get “their country back.”

Ted Cruz said that “with a Clinton victory, we [Republicans] would lose the Supreme Court for a generation,” while ignoring that Progressives and Democrats have already been on the losing side of a Conservative-leaning Supreme Court for over a generation…that’s just how America works, right? Now, the media’s entertaining opinion that Trump’s First Amendment rights are being infringed upon. What absurdity!

How can we in this country, without fault or fail, embrace the First Amendment when it is used as a tool of social and racial division? For example, the 1919 Supreme Court ruled that if there’s no fire in a crowded theater, you can’t holler fire in a crowded theater. So, not all speech is free. Trump told Univision Journalist Jorge Ramos to “Get out of my country.” “Go back to Univision.” Trump knew that Ramos is an American citizen, but his white supremacy concept of “my way or no way (like the current Republican-led Congress) has got to end. Donald the pied piper’s Las Vegas intimation in February: “I’d like to punch him in the face,” needs to come with consequences. His actions fall arguably short of a conspiracy and the Feds seem to love using that conspiracy. Trump needs to pay full price for his rabble rousing, riot-inciting, hate-mongering free speech.

I make the unequivocal statement and stand that Donald Trump is not only racist, but the worst kind of racist—one with stacks of money. New York Governor Bill DiBlasio and Ohio Rep. Marcia Fudge flat out called Trump a racist…It’s about damned time! The Tea Party, the Birther Movement, the anti-immigration Minutemen craze are all elements within the Republican Party. All call for some degree of separation, division or elimination of someone else’s civil liberties. It’s time to blow the whistle on the pied piper’s pipe to silence the delusional trumpets.
